A Bit About Me
An artist with 25+ years of experience
Introduction
Victor Lopez

Whether you’re a small indie team that needs a visual foundation or a larger studio looking for senior creative direction on a specific phase, I can step in at almost any point in production.
I don't think I have ever wanted to be anything else but an artist and It's been a lifelong journey. At 13 years old I was airbrushing t-shirts at the mall. I've painted murals on the streets and was a scenic designer at the Blackstone Theatre in Chicago in the early nineties. I've laid out artwork for corrugated containers and pinstriped cars. I've been a motion graphic artist and worked on films. Tech has always played a big part. I'm grateful for all the opportunities and the amazing people that have been part of it. I'm excited to see what's next. Let me tell you a bit about how how I work…
My job isn’t to impose a vision, it’s to develop one collaboratively, make it legible to every person contributing to it, and protect it from the thousand small compromises that erode it over time. The best looking games are made by teams who trust the direction.
A Simple Approach

Simple steps, remarkable results
“Every visual decision is a design decision. The color of the sky tells players whether to feel safe or threatened. The shape of an enemy silhouette tells them whether to run or fight. None of it is decorative.”
